1971 Covered wagon

Well we just picked up a 1971 covered wagon camper. We got it for next to nothin. As of what I can see it is solid needs some roof work and some interior rebuilding. Looked on the net for info on this camper but can not find a single thing. On the tag next to the enttry door it says manufatured by Caravan.

Well here you go here r some pics. Also how hard do you think it will be to rebuild this thing since I can not find no info. Repairng stuff like rotten wood and all the normal stuff is no big deal but if the water heater dont work or the stove you know things that was built into this when built.Pictures by 02DAF - Photobucket.

all of the appliances and fixtures will have current models that will fit with little or no modifications necessary. Colors and styles have changed, but the actual size and shape remain remarkably unchanged

When I read Covered Wagon and Camper in the same sentence the first thing that popped into my mind were the old Conestoga Truck Campers from the 70s.

OMG! Another covered wagon here in Marion?

I also have a Covered wagon camper but It's a truck camper. It even has the same plastic covered wagon name plate on the door as yours. Being that it is a truck camper and has no title, I have no idea of the year of it. Same as you I have looked all over for info about the manufacturer of these campers and found very little on the web. Drop me an email sometime! funkeytoad@yahoo.com.

I have 1963 Santa Fe model

In the early 60's Covered Wagon (the newer company) had these models:
17' Cross Country
18' International
20' Santa Fe
23' Wells Fargo
25' Holliwood
28' El Capitan

I also know very little, but I know that in the '60s, the "Covered Wagon" name was used (with permission) by Herb Reeves Jr in Elkhart, IN to make a line of trailers. The same company that was making Covered Wagons also made a line called "DeCamp,"Bon-Aire Trailers, and Easy Traveler
