1971 Winnebago ?

Hello.

I just bought a 1971 Winnebago. I can't seem to find where it says what type of Winnebago it is. The person I bought it from said it was 25ft but I haven't measured it.

It's pretty awesome, I fell in love with it in first sight.

Oh, I also have a 1998 Dodge Neon but no tow dolly yet.

It's been fun.

Hi - Welcome! Can't help you with the model, but if you post your question in the Vintage forum here I'll bet someone can. Lots of great folks there.

Welcome. Start by looking at the 1971 Brochures here Product Information: 1971

You should be able to find your floor plan listed and determine the exact model of coach.
THen you need to find the Dodge (Fargo) lable plate to determine which Dodge MH chassis you have.

I'm pretty sure it's a Chieftain from the floor plan and I guess it must be a 24 footer. I've posted pics in the vintage RVs photos thread.

I'm still undecided about on how much I should remodel. I'd love to change several things but I love the classic feel of it now and am afraid to ruin it.

A lot of friends and family don't understand what I'm doing but to me, I'm living the dream. I'm 28 years old and I want to spent lots of time and money into my RV which is hard to understand by non-RV lovers.

Thanks to this site, I contacted Winnebago and they will soon send me wiring diagram and such.

I'm learning as I go and has been more fun than frustrating.

Thanks for everyones help.
