I have used this material in difficult indoor shower applications; The plus side- Cuts easily with a sharp razor knife, is flexible on curves. The down side; Color dulls with age, I do not think it will take paint, so make sure it has a UV protection built in. If not, white will turn yellow and cannnot be painted easily. Aluminum would probably be your best choice, My local Mobile home supplier sells it by the sheet pretty cheap. BJ's MH and RV supply in Hudson, Fl. I bought some for skinning a garage door and have used it for other projects since. You should be able to find it near Birmingham. Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide. Dan

Hi,

This is my first post here and I've read, with interest, your detailed Frolic rebuilt.

GOOD INFORMATION ABOUT METAL SIDING . . .

Folks that need original type aluminum siding, mouldings and trim parts (plus underlayerment, etc.) need to check out this site, and their online catalog(s):

http://www.interstatemetals.com/

You'll find what you need to finish this baby at this site!

I plan on reskinning my nice '67 Frolic pretty soon . . . and it looks like they can duplicate my siding perfectly!

CHECK OUT THEIR CATALOG FOR "CORRUGATION PATTERNS"!!!

Good luck on your project and keep us posted with lots of photos!

Sincerely,

Tom Turner
