Hello,
My wife and I just purchased a 1974 Winnebago Chieftain Travel trailer and I am trying to find Manuals or any other information online in pdf format. I know the one manuals number is 00197406000. does anyone else have one of these trailers or information on it?

They are sort of few and far between. Winnebago has a 72 brochure that mentions the 220 Indian ( http://www.winnebagoind.com/products...ebago3-bro.pdf). The owners manual you found for purchase from a Winnebago dealer will cover both trailer and 5th Wheel trailer versions. Most likely the best reference you will find. Using google, you can find a a small amount of information (Winnebago Travel Trailer, Winnebago Trailer, 74 Winnebago Trailer, etc.)
Something of interest though. Let it be known that after a 30 year dry spell, Winnebago has decided to re-enter the Travel Trailer market!

Dave,
Thanks so much for the info I have called the dealer they told me they could not get me a manual so I will follow in the google search you have suggested. I am having some trouble getting my 110v to work so I am troubleshooting now.

Thanks all I still have had no luck finding manuals, but I have been through the trailer and have figured most of it out myself. Fixed toilet and water lines and heater. all things considered I am very happy with this Jewel. I bought it the battery was dead so I could not test things. they guy told me all was working he said he had it out in May. I have learned other wise as it had split water lines toilet valve was broken Hot water tank Leaks. All things he assured me worked. I really don't care as we still got the better end of the deal. My 6 kids are going to have a life time of memories. And my wife and I have the chance to change things and make it ours.
