1975 Coachmen Cadet

I need your advice and help. I have the opportuniy to buy a 1975 Coachmen Cadet at what I think is a good price ($500.00). It has been sitting under a shelter for the last 5 years. However the front exterior roof has a 3' dent or crease in it and directly beneath this crease the ceiling and walls don't show any sign of water damage. However the floor beneath all this area is soft. What should I do first? Any websites out there that I might need to look at that would help me with restoring this 1975 Coachmen Cadet?
Thanks,
Rodney in South Carolina

Well, you certainly want to fix the dent and make sure it's sealed first. There are sites that show how folks went about their repairs, some even show frame up rebuilds. Just google "Vintage RV Repair and Restoration."

Finally got my 1979 Free Spirit home today.... so I'll be doing the same thing as you for the most part. I think hubby is intimidated, but I'm sure we can make some decent progress.

Youtube has a lot of videos of other people's ideas and work if you are a more visual person that may help too.
