Yugi-

All motorhomes have a chassis made in the year previous to construction of the motorhome. If you have a 1980 Pace Arrow, the chassis (running gear, frame, engine) was manufactured in 1979, while the "house" was built on top of them in 1980.

Generally makes no difference, but when looking up engine parts or whatever you need to know the chassis dates from the previous year.

I'm not having any luck with my scanner. I think its toast. I have all manuals for a 79 on 78 P-30 chassis.

Yeah I'm sorely out of luck finding a proper manual. Found an 83 but after it helped some, it hurt a little. Probably my own intuition failing, first RV owned. *running new lines as typing* Hope you might have luck with your scanner.

Anyone know what my Pace Arrow 1979 (Chrysler) transmission is and what kind of transmission fluid it takes? Apparently sprung a leak...o_O

Oh yeah...Carburetor is a Carter Thermo-Quad 9277S...anyone have anything hooked up to the bottom-most front-right (towards passenger side) port? Mine's free birded. X_X

Dexron ATF fluid

You need to buy both the Class A motorhome chassis service and parts manual

Do you think Dexron III/Merc is compatible enough?

Yep, Dexron III/Merc currently is an acceptable fluid for the A-727 Torqueflight transmission.
