Yike, that really sucks! When I got the Brake cylinder, I specified 79 for the year and brake code.

Should not be a problem. Bendix site lists the same master cylinder P/N (Bendix 11461) is used for G30 JB8 1976 through 1996.

Road test done for brakes,alls well, did just the bench bleed with no problem, although being old school, made me nervous not bleeding brake lines separately, but all is working and have great pedal, so guess I learned something new.
