Question 1979 Midas 2000 Questions

I recently aquired a vintage RV. It's a 1979 Midas 2000. I'm working my way through it trying to determine what needs fixing and how I can fix it. In another thread I posted a question about the blinds. I'm uncertain about what type of blinds they are and am interested in learning about how to safely install them. Here's a picture of one of the blinds. http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/.../RV_Blinds.png
Additionally, I noticed some loose wires coming out of one of the walls. Does anyone know what these wires are for? Here are a couple of pictures of the general area where the wires are located and a close up of them. http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/y307/InTheWindMMX/RV_Wires_i.png

Any advise or resources that anyone might be able to share about these is welcome.

Your blinds should screw on under the valance with 3or4 phillips head screws. The wires look like thermostat wires. Might be wrong but that is what mine looked like. Ed

YUP - thermostat wires, I'd bet that if the heater is working. shorting the 2 wires together will get the heater blower to start and the burner to light - depending on your specific heater brand...

OR, it might simply start a big fire in your wiring...

Thanks for all of the helpful answers, everyone. At the very least, I should probably cap the wires off until I decide to install a new thermostat.
