1983 LINDY class C wiring

My son just bought a old lindy motorhome, in pretty good shape, except it has a big battery draw. Have to disconnect over nite. Peo-ple he bought it from doesn't know either. He put a volt meter between cabel and terminal and removed all the fuses he could find and didn't make any difference. Can't seem to find any other 12v fuses except under the dash and don't have a wiring diagram. Any info will be appreciated.

If nothing fused is drawing it could be bad diodes in the alternator. Remove the heavy red wire on the back and see if the draw goes away. Also could be a solenoid but these usually get warm is drawing a large amount of current so start feeling around.

You really want to use an amp meter (digital) and pull fuses. You can also disconnect the alternator overnight and see if there is any difference.
What chassis is the Lindy built on?

The Lindy is built on a chev chassis with a 350 engine

Has your house batt ever run down along with the chassis batt or can you tell?

Thanks for all the ideas I will have him check all these. He said the house battery doesn't run down just the start battery.

Even a small 12v incandescant light place in the positive circuit at the battery will indicate a draw by glowing softly. Use a light like a gauge light, small bulb.
Even the Harbor Freight multimeter that is on sale for about $2.50 will work for this as it will indicate amp draws up to 10 amps.
A battery with a severe sulfated condition will discharge overnight once the lead oxide builds up to the bottom of the plates.

Do you have two fuel tanks. My RV ,on a 84 Chevy G30, Has 2 fuel tanks. The PO hard the Tank selector wired directly to the battery which drained the it. They installed a battery disconnect. I wired to a to a relay. Solved the prob
