1983 Rambler Imperial 12volt from house batteries

I am new to this old RV which has been visited by a few changes
I need to understand protocol on enabling 12volt coach power from battery only and need advice on any of these numbered items

1. Missing shoreline in connector cable setup
Need name of manufacture of the unusual twist lock at curb/rear .It is covered with a 3' diam stainless screw cap curiously labeled "PHONE" but clearly is to carry 110 . On coach it is male. The 2 lock arcs are 180deg opposed and a center pin appears to be ground

Curiously the 12 volt fixtures can only be powered when the converter is plugged into 110 The converter also has a trickle charge circuit with indicator so it appears to communicate with the house battery location.
BUT if the converter is unplugged the good 12 volt batteries do not reach their source and 12 volt fixtures go dead.

Circuit management is from a midsection closet where there are 2 110 breaker boxes, fuse block for 12 volt and a converter which may be aftermarket (it has its own 110 outlet which seems to have added wiring from the breaker panel)
There are 2 switch boxes in the closet which are 20 amp 3 position
switch box1 is labeled Front Rear and (unsure if the middle is both or none) Would that just be a redundant way to shut off each of circuits coming out of the 2 breaker boxes (there is a front breaker box and a rearward breaker box)

Switch box 2 is labeled Generator (up), Park (down) and Air (middle)
Is this for choosing mutually exclusive inputs to the breaker boxes?

At least trying all combination toggles of these 2 switch boxes failed to enable 12 volt fixtures from solitary coach battery.
I thought there would be a switch to choose from 12 volt that is sourced from coach battery vs. sourced from converter. Where would such be?

I would welcome general explanation of the 80's era rambler electrical management and specifically to be led by the hand to any switch should exist in 83 that I must activate for battery to 12 volt fixtures.

Thanks Tym

1. That connector may be outdated or a marine plug, and hard to find a mate. You might think of replacing with a male 30 amp connector that you could find many 30 amp cords to connect to pedestal. Be sure your electrical service is 30 amps.

Check for a switch near the entrance that might be a battery disconnect switch. The fact that 12 v works on charger but not batteries could be a bad solenoid or fuse between house batteries and 12 v fuse panel.
