1984 Peace Arrow (Help!)

I just purchased a 84 Peace Arrow / Fleetwood with 454 Chevy Big Block...
I'm new to RV'n and the forum! Already love it and have gone no where.. lol
Love the forum as well, and I have received a lot of useful info! Thanks before hand for any help received here....

I plugged my power cord / 220 up to the house / my business... The RV lights come on for 5 seconds and go off for 5 minutes. A noise can be heard from bottom left rear side of the RV for each 10 second interval that the lights come on. What is this noise..??? It is not the main gas powered generator, it is something else. I have no batteries installed in the RV, and I understand that the lights are suppose to be running off of two 6v batteries that are somehow recharged when the RV is plugged in to an electrical outlet. Is this noise a converter / battery charger of some sort????

thanks!

should never be plugged into a 220 volt, your cord has a 220 male end on it but is wired for 30 amps 110 volt to this male end, your MH only needs 30 amp 110 voltt, like was said on your other thread

you need a 110 volt recepticle wired for this, single hot neutral ground, please don't plug it in again to a 220volt you may have already fried something
