Air suspension on the back axle is a must in the truck I find. I will also probably get one of those gooseneck hitches for the truck that has air bags to reduce fatigue on the trailer.

Air ride rear would be an easy swap. Trans isn't awful hard nor expensive.
Focus on finding a deal on the cab and engine you want for a good deal and then swap the trans and rear if necessary.
Daycab OTR trucks should have bigger engines and taller rears than local delivery trucks.

Thanks I appreciate it! Tried to post pics of what I'm going to do to the interior but photobucket was down for maintenance.

Now that photobucket is back here's a picture of what the plans are for the interior.
This is the color scheme I'll be going with and pretty much what the final product should be.

Thanks!
I went into to the depot to pick up something not related to the trailer and came out with some of the "high end" finishes. Found this pergo xp hand sawn oak for only $16 a case I also found the tile that supposedly wasn't in stock so I picked up what I need for the back splash.
I also have the countertop and sink. Can't wait to start on the LQ of the trailer.

smcox1,
They look like a winner, can't wait to see what the finished product is going to look like.

I can't wait either! Just waiting for the weather to warm back up so I can get another coat of paint on the exterior and the roof sealed with dicor then I'll start on the interior. I also picked up a 32" led smart tv for it.

Well I took it on it's maiden voyage two weekends ago and we turned heads everywhere we went.
I honestly can't believe how nice it actually turned out. Just a reminder of what we started with.
I hope to start on the interior asap but we're in haying season so there isn't much time. Still looking for a freightliner tow rig though.

I think you ought to post a pic of the before somewhere on the rig so that people can see what it looked like and be amazed by what it looks like now.
You have two distinctly different rigs that no one else will ever have. Congratulations on two jobs well done.
