I just looked at your pix on facebook of your Cheiftan, and it looks great. I really like the u shaped seating & table. I purchased a leather love seat with dual recliners to replace the sleeper sofa, like your in-laws, but now I want your setup and maybe put the love seat on the other side instead of the swivel chairs. Mine has the pull-down bed over the front seats, but I took it down to repair the roof, and insulate the ceiling. Don't really want to put the overhead bed back, wanted to instead install a LARGE swing down flat screen TV instead. Somehow making it look flush and like a ceiling when in the up position.

All of the furniture for both our motorhomes were purchased from www.discountvantruck.com . The lounge in ours is by far the item that seems to get the most attention and is incredibly comfortable to sit on. It also has two large storage drawers underneath.

I would love to have a tv in the front of ours, but my three and six year old girls would never forgive me if I removed the drop down bunk bed. It is definitely their favorite feature in the motorhome. Instead we opted to install a drop down mount for a 29" wide screen LED LCD in the cabinet above the lounge seat. It is mount to roller bearing drawer slides and can be manually lower from the bottom of the overhead cabinet or pushed back in the cabinet and stowed out of sight. If you want I can take some photos of the finished product and post them.

Thanks the would be awesome. Wonder if a larger screen TV would fit where you put yours? Also, did you reuse the existing base cabinetry under the kitchen counter top on both.either of your remodels?

Yeah it is the original cabinets, but I made a new counter top surface that was braced much better to hold the weight of the tile. I will take some photos of the tv and post them some time this weekend.

Oh....and the 29" was the absolute largest tv that I could get in the cabinet and I had to do a 3 1/2" crown cornice to hide the lower part of the tv.

Here's a link to a public drop box folder with photos of the drop down TV mount I installed.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/siavx4zvp3cbr1k/GOatzqesvx

We installed a 29" TV because it was the largest we could install without having the TV hang way below the cabinet when it is stowed. If it was only up to the TV width we could have installed a 32", which was my goal originally. I ran two coaxial cables to the TV; one for the antenna feed and one for the cable feed. In one of the photos you can see a CAT5 wire, that is a inexpensive way to run a audio/video line. I had a 28' wire run to get the A/V feed from the in-dash DVD player to the TV. I want to install a actuator to lower an raise the TV. I have the actuator already and I already calculated the leverage needed and the pivot angles, but I just don't have the time to finish it.

Here's a link to a short video that I recorded and uploaded to YouTube:
