Hello, I am a new Rv owner and have a bunch of questions. I purchased this RV and it needs some TLC. I am going to ask questions first then search the site for answers also. The brakes and power steering do not work. The headliner is falling down all over, it doesn't appear to be water damage. Can I take the fabric down and replace with some type of wood or panel? Is the power steering and brakes related?

Thanks

It's yes on ALL of your questions....Might be something simple like a broken belt on the power steering & brakes, 87 P-30 (454) used both serpintine and V-belts.

Check out the simple things like fluids on both brakes and P.S. in your pump....

Jim

Hello! Brake and power steering use the same pump driven by the sames belts.they call this braking system Hydraboost. If the motor stalls when driving you have a reserve for one braking situation. So when it happens jump on the pedal and don't let it go.It happens to me once. yvon
