Maybe not what could be considered "vintage" but after you all showed me the potential problems finding parts for the 77' Winnebago Elandan along with the gas hungry 440, I could get a 93' Damon Challenger for around the same money. What advice do you folks have on the Damon Challenger? Thanks in advance!

I have the same chevy 454 TBI. Parts are everywhere. If you are talking coach parts the only option is salvage yards and why would you want to replace with parts that are that old? Some fabrication/modification will be required on all old models.

I like your way of thinking! Years ago, toward the end of my time spent in the Air Force, we had an old jet (F-106 Delta Dart) and we were forced to do the "local manufacture" thing on certain parts that were no longer available! We kept 'em flying right up to the day the last Dart went into retirement! Never thought about applying that same thought process to an older motorhome! Thanks for the advice!!
