1995 P30 - No reverse lights

1995 Fleetwood Flair 22D/ P30 454 4L80E. I've had it about 6 months now, I guess I've never noticed the lack of reverse lights.

I'm assuming there's a reverse light switch on the transmission. Can anyone point me to the location? I've checked voltage at the rear fleetwood section of the harness, no power back there at either green/white wire (or at the new bulbs) while in reverse with the key on.

According to the 1995 Chevy/GMC pickup workshop manual the reverse switch for the 4l80e is located in the neutral safety switch mounted on the left side of the transmission. The selector shaft goes through the switch. The light green wire is the backup lamp supply wire.

I have the 1993 p30 chassis electrical service manual if you still need help with the lights I can dig it out and maybe shed some light also.

I was all set to replace the NSS but after 2.5K miles of drive-reverse-drive-reverse, through various campsites in California and Oregon the lights seem to have fixed themselves!

Congrats! Fixing it by the "It got better by itself" method is definitely the easiest and cheapest.
