1997 Coachmen Destiny

So this journey started in June of last year. This was my wife's grandfather's that he bought new in 97. After his passing in 2013 and really since 2010 the thing sat under a cover plugged in. My wife and I moved into the house to help maintain property and establish ourselves. Well after 4 or 5 years dormant and mice infested I started the project. And it included this:

June 2016-December 2016

Engine Service and Restoration

Lubricating oil filter: Replaced
Lubricating oil temperature sensor: Removed/Cleaned
Lubricating oil temperature thermostat: Removed/Cleaned
Air filter: Removed/Cleaned
Coolant filter: Replaced and system topped off
Drive belt: Inspected and Oiled
Lubricating synthetic oil change: Full synthetic
Fuel filter: Replaced
Painted oil pan: Sanded and painted
Repainted the back engine grill flat black
relocated the shocks
Power steering pump: replaced
Power steering high pressure regulater
Power steering gph valvue
Power steering reservoir pretty filter

Drivetrain: Service and Restoration

Tires: Replaced
Tire valve: checked and replaced right side due to leak
Driveshaft: Inspect and Greased 4 fittings
Steering Column: Inspect and Greased 5 fittings per side
Air Brakes: Inspect Connection for leaks and fix leaks
Air Suspension: Repaired front right air leak
Chassis Frame: Sanded and Repainted majority of external steel frame
Lighting: replaced w/new headlights and replaced others, cleaned and polish, also remounted headlights and re-aligned lights
ABS system: inspect code warning light: #7 light
Rims: Polished and cleaned

Main Systems: Service and Restoration

A/C system: Remove rat nests from duct work, repaired all duct housing that was chewed through
LP Gas: Sanded and Repainted Tank and housing frame
LP Gas igniters: Cleaned of all foreign objects from water heater and
Battery Bank: Replaced with 2 6v and 2 12v, cleaned* and lubed all terminals
Air Horns: Cleaned, Polished, replaced solenoid
Onan: replaced oil synthetic, replaced filter, painted frame
Air Tank: drained of air and valve cleaned
Entry steps: serviced

Weatherproofing: Service and Restoration

Caulked all external seams
Pressure Washed Roof and Rubber flex sealed seams on roof
Moisturized all seals for slide out and replaced seals
Moisturized all bay door seals
Replaced and Conditioned window seals
Windshield: wiper replace, windshield seal repaired
Awnings: cleaned, lubricated, and oiled
Repaired the window trim in more permanent location
Replaced seals along entry door

Water system:

Pressurized and checked for leaks
Hot water heater: Drained, scrubbed, rinsed of debris
Water pump: Cleaned of debris
Tanks: Flushed with Clorox and added antifreeze
Bathroom toilet: Removed, taken apart to clean the hose assembly, replaced
Bathroom sink: cleaned the breather valve of debris to help flow
Shower: Caulk all seams and antifreeze down the drain
Kitchen Sink: Replaced seals and cleaned, antifreeze, cleaned diffuser
Cargo Panel: repainted and restored

Electrical: Service and Restoration

Battery Bank: Replaced House and Coach batteries
Outlets: Replaced all, regular, gfci outlets, added USB charge station
Lighting: LED swap on table, couch lights and kitchen lights, daylight spectrum in t-8, replaced
12volt relays and fuses: Tested and replaced
120volt relays and fuses: Tested and replaced

Additional:
18ft LED strip to roof of engine bay w/separate external switch,
30ft LED strip added to cargo bays w/ separate external switch
Under coach repairs of electrical safety and road worthiness
18ft of led under coach for soft mood light while camping

Home theater:

TV: 2 New LG 32" smart tv, one mounted to bedroom ceiling, one mounted to kitchen wall
Speakers: Replaced with 8 Pioneer Speaker inside and out
Radio: Replaced New

Main Living Space: Restoration, Repair, Prep

New: Cabinet hardware, outlets
cabinet bracket repairs
polished all wood
shampoo all carpets
Conditioned all leathers
Repaired the pull out mattress safety
Led upgrade of accent lights
New lamp shade
Blinds: repaired 3 broken
Fabric design change on bench seat
TV mount in Kitchen
New air filter
Vent Covers: Replaced
Decorations
Entry steps: recovered and repaired
Added a Fireplace

Kitchen: Restoration, Repair, Prep

New: Cabinet hardware, outlets, gfci, lights, faucet
Kitchen supplies
Stove: cleaned of all foreign objects
Microwave: Cleaned and tested
Refrigerator: Cleaned, and Drained
Drawer hinges repaired.

Bathroom: Restoration* and Prep

Floor: Replace with new in toilet area
New: Electrical outlets
Decorations
Toilet wand: Replace
Washer machine: Tested and sterilized
Shower: Caulked and inserted new supports
New: Door Handles, hardware
Repaired broken doors and hinges
New faucet
New towel racks

Bedroom: Restore and Repair

New LG TV mounted to ceiling
New Floor
Decorations: window shade fabric, bed squirt fabric, headboard redesign and fabric
New Electrical Outlets
Repaired closet clasp
New speakers
New mattress and Lenin

Cargo bays:

30ft LED strip in cargo bays
Greased sliding tray
Serviced external cooler
Fixed and adjusted all cargo bay doors
Added: fishing rod holders, attachment mounts, broom holders, shelving units,
Lighting: Replaced
Cooler: Cleaned and Tested
Inverter: Diagnose issue, and service

Brand new faucets through out the coach to match hardware.

Total for restoration was around 12,000.

I was curious if anyone had any electrical blueprints for this model. I was fortunate to have most of the manuals except the wiring diagram which is the biggest headache

thats a lot of work but, I'm sure your family will have lots of fun. Good to see the carpet removed from the toilet, worst thing they ever did in motorhomes

Our 93 Winnebago's manual shows detailed part numbers. One of those is the wiring. All of the wires are the same color, purple or green. But they have numbers and if you go back to the page with some diligence you can see what they do.

I have a complete set of manuals with diagrams if your still looking. I would love to see a picture looking from the kitchen to the windshield

That's would be a huge blessing if you have the fuse or electrical diagrams...
