I need to replace the radiator in my 73 Winnie. It has the 440 and I was wondering if anyone has personally removed their radiator? I was looking @ it today and I see nuts and bolts all over the place. If anyone has done this could you point me in the right direction on things such as what I need to remove and not???

I took my radiator out about 6 years ago and had it recored. From what I remember I took out the center section of the grills. Some might have removed theirs out the bottom. Not an easy job and while it is out check out the water pump, alt., belts etc. Wish I could give you more details but one rusted bolt at a time and you will be done in no time. Best of luck.

Thanks, I was hoping you would chime in. I was wondering if I could pull it from the bottom or not. I have those spring things and trans cooler and stuff so I guess I have to remove all of that as well to get to it. I should also remove the fan shroud as well???

If I could remember what I did 6 years ago why couldn't I remember to take the phone out of my pocket before going in the pool, LOL. Out the front should work. You will probably take off plenty of stuff and need plenty of band aids before it's over.
Now if I could figure how to get the wiper motor out of the dash....................
