83 allegro advice needed

I have an 83 allegro 23' rv I picked up. the 2nd day I owned it, it rained. I found a water leak coming down through the first cabinet as you enter on to the counter by the sink. I am in Ashland wi by the big water, gitchee gamma.

I did some research and it appears that the best roof sealer for cold weather application is dyna-seal. has anyone used this product and had good results? it can be applied to 0 degrees.

I also have onan generator that turns over, but no start. the seller said the fuse panel in the closet got warm? and I am wondering if this could cause the heater not to run when you up the thermostat.

the converter appears to be working as I have cabin lights. the owners manual is vague with no wiring diagrams or specifics. is there a service manual pdf for these rigs?

the 454 runs ok once it is warm. any suggestions to get more mpg out of the old girl? I got 6.1 mpg bringing it back home and the seller said he got 10. thanks for any help or suggestions. I plan on using that pressure tape on the seams and edges after I apply the dyna-seal. thanks for reading. nakona1
