83 Holiday Unknown switch sensor and function

Lettering is quite clear...Durakool c-5z, Found it laying on the roof, wired and coming thru the Winegard base antenna mount. I'm quite certain it does not work the old antenna...could be a air conditioner sensor of some sort. Yet the net shows it to be part of a leveling system....Any ideals here??

My new to me 83 Imperial Rambler...going under the knife.

It’s a mercury switch meant to be attached to your TV antenna. It is connected to an “Antenna Up” warning light on your dash.

Ahh i see says the blind man....odd actually i slightly broke the antenna in the up position. I've just replaced the base and am ready to reassemble the whole thing..now i have a new circuit to go thru. Had it been working from the start it would have saved me a few hours...Thank You very much.
