I can offer no mechanical knowledge or parts but I think I do have the same engine you are talking about in my 1985 jubilee. It has a chevy 350. It has 67000 miles and everything inside is original and in great condition. I've been told that everything in the engine is also in great condition. I've had it since 10/2011 and have yet to give it a good run. I'm taking it to the mountains in the summer so that will be a good test of it's power.

Well took it for a hard run today we have a 12% grade mountain abt 1 mi long before i has it mated to the floor and would top out at 40 mph in 2 nd gear and have 0 vacuum now it pulled the hill at 55 mph in hi gear and 10" of vacuum i would say that
Is an improvement not bad for this tub @11000# now for a big trip not till april

We also have a 350 in our 27' Class A ... 1995... Sure it won't win any drag races,,, but does just fine... Running 65 mph most of the time last year from AR to AZ and back, we averaged 13.39 mpg.... Getting ready for our next trip, it has a new cap/rotor, coil, and one injector... Hopefully it will do even better ... I was worried about the 350,, but heck, this old trucker was happy, 2400 miles, no oil added, no probs... Now for the next 2400 mile trip.... This will be our second big trip in it, at least I have had a little time to get to know it....
If anybody has a proven inexpensive way to help these motors out, lets hear it.... Darel
