A couple Box questions - 85 Allegro Box

Hi, new owner around here.

I just got an 1985 Tiffin Allegro, I believe it's an m27, and I have a few questions that I'm just not sure on. (I have emailed Tiffin directly, but no response as of yet. :( )

The couple of questions that I have for now:
  • I'm wondering what material the roof 'should’ be for this model? (Rubber based? Fiberglass? Metal) ?
  • What is the metal that is used for the wall framing?

From what I see, it looks like the roof should be a rubber based one, but it has worn off, and all I see is sheet-metal. (Right now, I'm considering using a paint based roofing material for a short term solution to seal it up, and then in the next year or two, removing it and putting a full EPDM type roof on it.) If this was supposed to be a fiberglass one, then I'll have to do a lot of thinking on how I want to proceed.

The wall framing, I was told was aluminum, which if it is, leaves me at a small loss at how to best tie in new cabinets, as regular screws are steel and would react and cause corrosion.

Thank you for reading,
JP
