We recently acquired (on Ebay) the original promotional VHS tape that Fleetwood gave out to prospective and new owners of our 89 Southwind. Sort of a combination sales tool and condensed owner's guide- pretty cool.

As is typical for a 30A setup, our coach has the standard 2 air conditioners with a switch to select between them.

Interestingly, the tape mentions that BOTH ACs can be run, if while hooked up to shore power, the generator is powered up as well.

Has anyone else done this (run one AC off gen and the other off shore)?

Yes you can, one of the ac units is hooked up directly to generator.

Our 1983 33' Holiday Rambler came with two AC's. The from was wired to run from the regular coach AC panel but the rear was only wired to the generator circuit. You could run both from the generator but only the front on shore power.

On most 2-AC, 30 amp rigs the generator is wired so if you have the FRONT AC selected and the Generator running both AC's will work.. Usually.

A URL you should visit if you have a 30 amp 2-AC rig

Thank you for the replies and the link. It just never occurred to my tiny brain that I could run both ACs with a 30amp rig.
Great news.
