ac breaker tripping

Since my 86 Beaver has been in my driveway I've had it plugged in to my house, everything works fine. I usually go out once a week and turn on my ac unit and let it run, the problem is that after about 15-20 minutes of letting it run it trips the breaker, I reset it, a little bit later it trips again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What breaker does it trip?

One in your house's breaker panel, or one on your RV's converter power panel?

If it's one in your house, it may be plugged into a 15-amp circuit, and that's just marginally-enough to supply an RV A/C.

That's the more unusual of the two scenarios.

What's the value of that breaker? It should be dedicated to the A/C alone.

Sometimes, breakers just get old and "weak", i.e. they trip easier than they should.

The easiest and cheapest thing to try is to buy another breaker. Take the old one with you to Home Depot or similar place, and just get another. They're relatively cheap, usually at about $6.00.

After that, we need to start investigating the run capacitor inside the A/C unit itself.

Breakers do get weak with many trips.
May be time to replace it.
Is it the AC 20AMP breaker. Or the main breaker?
