adjusting the thermostat

i went out and started the genset and while i was out there i thought i would try the furnace. i set it on 75 and after about 10 min. it was almost 85 by the thermostat but when i turned it back it kicked off at 65. im wondering how to adjusting the thermostat so it reads the right temp.
here are a couple pics of the thermostat. the first pic is with cover on and secound is cover off.

Some thermostats had a contact pointer that could be moved on contact strip marked in + or - degrees. Do not see it on yours.
Maybe you can find a digital one that works on 12v's, it would be more accurate.

i went out this morning before work and was looking at it again and noticed that there is a set screw or something that can ce seen in the second pic.
here is a close up of it.



i thought it was a allen head but it not, takes a small screw driver.
do you think or anyone else think that may be the way to adjust it ?
i looked online but didnt find anything

That black block maybe a magnet to close contact or is a contact that may need to be cleaned, try some adjustments of screw and see if it changes anything.

UPDATE
i found out how to make the thermostat read the right temp.
on the back of the cover is a white plastic slot as seen here,



all you have to do is get the temp inside and put a small screwdriver in the slot and set it as seen here,


after i did this i ran the furnace for about 20 mins. and checked the temp and it read 65.

There you go we all learned something now we just have to remember for the next time.
