Age of RV and entrance to some campgrounds.
So I'm getting ready to make the maiden voyage in my 92 RV, and I'm discovering some resistance to the age of my unit. One park said no vehicles older than 15 years, and another one said nothing older than 1990. How have you handled this? I guess I'm lucky I didn't do the hippie bus conversion like I wanted to.
Any feedback, comments, ideas, or insults welcome.

How about sending them a photo of your rig?

This problem seems to occur over and over.
If you have a web site post some pictures of the rid on it and send them the web site address.
You could do the same thing here, start a thread, post pictures and updates on the rid and send them the address to look at.

Because there are many RV parks/campgrounds that DO NOT discriminate I've never needed to spent my $$ supporting those that DO.

Wow,
We have never had that for a problem, and ours is new than the GMC owner we usually travel with (a 1976 Cayo Motorvator and a 1973 GMC Glacier). But, we are never looking for an "RV Resort". We do a lot of state parks and COE.
Long ago I heard about this and was cautioned about one CG. Then I decided that I didn't want to be any place like that.

I've been told that some of those elitist parks might accept your older coach if you send them a picture and ask them to please allow your coach and your money to stay with them.
Personally I would rather stay, and leave my money, where my coach is admitted without passing an inspection.

Puck your poison. In 9+ years we have never been asked the age of our rig.

They don't need my business and probably aren't people I'd want to associate with.

What is the reasoning not to let older campers in
Maybe we should get a list of these campgrounds and publish their policy

Hi, I MH in a 33-34 YOMH,
I've been asked once about it and I sent in a picture of our rig and got the reservation. If not its there loss not mine.
Not to worry, you can always find someone that wants your business.

Merely their way of doing business, it's not discrimination. And everyone can choose to support them or not.
Never had a problem with our '02 Dutch Star even after 13 years.

So where does it say one must give the accurate age of their rig? I have yet to find a way to tell the age of most RV's just by looking at them. A little white lie shouldn't hurt anyone.
