Basement lock froze

a little help needed pretrip checks i found one compartment would not unlock would you rhink i should drill the tumbler out or try a screwdriver with pliers to get lock opeb

You didn't say what type of RV but most dealers have master keys for their brand. Might try stopping by your local dealer.

Most of these locks are not super secure.

1985 fleetwood southwind this is the cheap lock you would know it is the one door i need i pulled a different lock went to home depot they hadit

What kind of locks do you have? (Mine are Tri-Mark and there is an easier way on Tri-Mark)

dont know what trimark is this is a $6 lock like what would be in a desk or filing cabnet the door is flimisy thinking a screwdriver and crecent to turn it i am a machinist so if mess the hole up i could reinforce it

If its plastic, its junk anyway, just drill it out. If its metal, inject some WD-40 into the lock, odds are it probably rusted.

Oh yes, is it cold outside, like down well below freezing? If it is, heat your key (if its metal) with a lighter for about 30 seconds then stick it in the lock and let it sit. Sometimes ice will bind the tumblers up, a hot key will warm them and melt the ice.

thanks tried kroil,pb blaster wd-40 its rust not the temperature. lock is metal going to drill it today yesterday was dealing with brakes on dolly thanks to all
