bathroom freshen up

I posted in the gulfstream forum of me removing the rear dinette in my 1988 coach and putting in a queen bed in it's place the wife loved the outcome. So she asked if I would freshen up the bathroom. I started by painting the shower and sink a moca color instead of the yellow it came with. Then I replace the nasty shower door, granite counter that I have to finish the seam with epoxy , it's white with little black and burgundy speckles that match the carpet. I then painted wall a light beige new window leveler. I put new carpet in it last year so that's done also. I went to lowes earlier today to purchase so self stick back splash but did not like any (cheesy looking) . I would like to put some mosaic tiles but afraid of them cracking and falling off.Would anyone know how to replace the toilet seat? the one in there has a brown vinyl attached to the seat that I would like too reupholster a different color ( not sure of color yet). I am also replacing the faucets and towel hold's with a bronze color .(not yet the old ones will work for now) till I get some play money. So here are a few photo's

I lived in Indiana a while back. Carpet in the bathroom was very common there. My apartment had it and I liked the warm floor under my feet in the morning, until........ One day a friend and I went drinking in the bar next to the apartment complex. He was too trashed to drive home so I told him to crash on my couch.
In the morning I did not have tinkle sprinkles. I had a flood of mellow mellow. Yuk.
How does one clean up something like that??

Thankfully it was the guest bathroom.

But with regard to the photos. It looks good

well too you first comment I couldn't sleep on a dinette and for the bathroom . Wife didn't like wallpaper or any thing in it for that matter. As for the carpet I like the carpet in there coming from shower it's soft on feet ,I'm hoping everyone has a good aim if not it's easy enough to take up if needed.I am very pleased with the way the coach is coming out, and the best part is I have no----- payment as a new coach would have. Now a day's They all look the same, the only thing I wish it had was bump out's but then again they leak.

I would suggest a hard surface for the bathroom floor. Then, simply add a throw rug. If the rug gets wet/dirty/soiled, it can be easily washed or replaced. It works for us.

Remodeling

Walmart has some stick on tile that is light weight. Another forum member used it and it came out very nice.

I have no grand children yet and my boy's are off on there own in the military and school and my youngest is 15 and a girl so I don't think she'll be peeing on floor at least I hope. I have some white marble tiles in my basement that I could put in but for now i'm just leaving the carpet.

Has anyone taken the toilet seat off ? I can see pins at the hinge ,I tried to pull them out but they wouldn't budge and did not want to force them and break them unless I can get replacement pin's. I could all way's just drill out the rivets holding the padding on the top of the seat and re-rivet them. I just figured it would be easier to take the seat out.
