Hi there, we got home from maine to find out that the refrigerator has quit. there is a fuse in the converter box for the filtered circuit.It checks out ok.all of the fuses check out ok the lights work andso do the fans[12volt] the fuse for the filtered circuit is dead on both sides of the fuse. I have no votage at the fuse the batterys or the frig circuit.The genset won't start as the battery is dead.All the wiring checks out ok,and no shorts.
any ideas? help, Dan

Have you disconnected the battery and just checked that. Refer should be getting 12v from converter. Jumper 12v to refer 12v and see if refer works.
I'll short cut this down to RV Appliances for more exposure.

Dan, I am a little confused by your post. Are the lights and fan working but the refigerator and generator are not due to dead battery? if so I guess you are plugged in and the converter is powering the house circuits. Check the voltage at the battery. what is it? If it is not around 13.8 then the converter charger is the problem. Let us know what you find out.

hi, I have the ref.on the engine batt. right now the main coach battery is disconnected,Batt. dead and no voltage in the line that went to battery or ref. The rest of the fuses are hot 13.6V.Lights and vent fans work ok.
I think that there must be a second circuit for the filtered side,and that side is dead.I think it is time to get a new converter.I'm loking at the intel- power series 9130 with the charge wizard.

If you are thinking about buying a new converter and are thinking about the inteli-power you should check out the 9230. The 9200 series have the charge wizard built in and you dont need the remote.

Dan, as Realtyroy said the 9200 would be a good choice. I have bought two from www.bestconverter.com the price and service has been good. Happy Trails!!
