battery disconnect

Hey all. Been awhile. But am having a battery issue.
Dealing with1987 Holiday Rambler on a
chassis.
so here goes.
We are boondocking at the
here in Quartzsite.
Came home yesterday
and when I shut down my portable Gen.
we noticed no electrical.
Have since checked voltage of the batteries and they are shy of13 volts.

With the Generator on, both indicator lights are illuminated. When I hit the vehicle
I can head the soelinoid click.
But when I got the other no click and they won't light up.

Help. TIA.

Are you writing poetry with that strange line break formatting? "1987 Holiday Rambler on a
chassis.
" I would hope it's on a chassis, the question is, what kind of chassis? HR made travel trailers, fifth wheel, Class C, Class A motorhomes, truck bed campers, perhaps even more styles. What did you have the portable generator connected to? What indicator lights? What is causing the solenoid to click, are you pushing a switch? Too much not explained to really help you at this point.

A battery disconnect solenoid can be by-passed by fastening both large gauge wires to one post. If everything now works, you need a new solenoid.

Here is a little more info.
I have the portable Gen plugged
into the shore power cord.
Also use it for electrical as needed around camp.
Until yesterday, no issues. We were gone most of the day, got home, ran gen. for couple hours. When I shut it off, I had no chassis electrical.
My battery monitor showed normal for coach battery. My house batteries would not turn on.
New day. I checked all four batteries and without a load they showed 12.96v.
removed each, cleans posts, checked water, cleaned cables and again cos voltage before reinstalling.
I have four separate solenoids. 3 under the hood on the firewall and one inside the battery comp.
It appears I have volt at each of the large posts.
If I flip the switch for the chassis battery it
the solenoid, but not with the coach battery.
Hope this helps.
