Bittersweet goodbye.

As nostalgic as I am, and as much as we loved our 1985 Winnebago Chieftan, we've had the opportunity to purchase a 2000 Winnebago Adventurer. Since it's less than 20 years old, we no longer fit this category. But, you can bet we'll be out there driving. See you on the road.

I never understood the 10 year rule in some private campgrounds especially if they are in good shape. I could understand if they were falling apart or something but many of us love the older (better quality) units and keep them up. There seems to be a trend towards reviving the vintage RV's so hopefully they step up and allow them again.

^ ^ ^ I agree 100% I'm looking for a older Foretravel, Will hate to see the 82 go if I find one. I prefer Vintage, classic.
Nice lines,
Tim

I like it, great lines. I bet you sit pretty high up in the drivers seat. Good view's? I'd like one around 40ish ft.
Did they ever have slides in those years 80ties-early 90ties?
Thanks, tim

Cool, I'll check out those sites. What year Pete? I drove a 82 Pete in the eighties single sleeper/400 cat.13 speed, Gun Metal gray, Red interior a beauty.
Personally I would prefer a Cat.
