Cab over mattress

Anybody have any suggestions for my sagging cab over mattress? I just purchased my 89 Warrior and yesterday noticed that when the mattress is open, my 10 year old makes it sag. I'd be nervous if somebody larger climbed up there.

Do you mean the wood itself is sagging?

Is it broken? Water damaged? Not sure what your set-up is , but surely you can replace or reinforce with new plywood.

I think it's just age. It is an '89. I'm thinking about putting a padded ceiling over the cab and just leaving the bed in the "open" position.
