can not switch to house batterys for emergency start

I have a 1988 coatchman with 454 And I can not switch over for starting when chassy battery low is there a relay or solenoid? The switch is ok.

The constant duty solinoid would most likely be located either under the hood or in the same area as the house batteries (under the steps).

BTW - If you have a 454 then you have a P30 chassis. The GM VIN plate (for incomplete chassis) should be mounted somewhere such as in the drivers area.

On my "90" I had the same issue. With mine there is a fuse under the drivers hood that is an in-line fuse, That was blown, 15 amp I believe.
