We have an 88 Winn, Class C. I need to replace the overhead ,due to water damage, the leaks have been repaired. Will I need to remove the cabinets, prior to putting in a new ceiling? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

OldSgt, You maybe able to do like a friend did and
using a small dremel and the cutout was with a 45 degree after the ceiling is all cut out he made a pattern and used that to make the new one. He did a great job of it but I haven't seen him or his pictures for some time now.
If i can remember where it was i will post it. Good luck on yours..I ended up with all the roof being done ceiling and all!! That was no kind of "fun"...At all !!!!!!!!

We did a "piecemeal" patch in 2 sections. I am not happy with it. It has dropped slightly where the sheets butt together (nothing to glue-&-screw luan to but foamboard). Replace whole sheets of luan. Remove your cabinets first.

Yepper-stove hood, cabs, lighting, wires, lighting fixtures, frame for roof a/c,frig stack all have to be taken down.Once you start, you will find the damages have spread alot more than you think.Water damages will travel alot farther than the leaks that where there.
