the doghouse lid in our Southwind has two hold-down screws; large, flathead straight slotted screw with flat threads, almost acme thread but not quite. well; it's SUPPOSED to have two; one is MIA. any idea who to get one of these from, or should i use something else?

not that i drive so recklessly that it moves, per se... but.. rather have it locked down.

it threads into a fairly generic looking insert, that might take a standard pitch bolt. if i scrounged through my junk boxes i might have something that will work, just not be the "correct" part. (yeah, i know, stickler.)

Try looking thru McMaster Carr. They have most everything. A picture with a measuring tape in it will help give us a better idea of size & shape.
