The top of the tail light mount butts up to a seam in the skin. I used a scotch lock to splice into the t/l wire then ran it across the trailer to the dead light. Spliced into the dead circuit then pushed the wire into the seam. A bead of sealer ensures it stays in place out of sight.

Hi Roy,
Sounds like a good solution for your dead tail light. I guess there is no one-size-fits-all way to fix these circuits; but if we have a selection of methods in our tool box we'll find a way to get these classics working that suits the specific problem. Thanks to everybody for showing me all these methods!
I was able to fix the closet circuit by running a wire from an adjacent wall and hiding it behind a piece of that 1 x 1 reinforcement strip that you find so much in our type of construction. I just cut the inside corner off on my table saw to form a little channel.

After reading your post about Fleetwood customer service and the resources they still hold for our older motorhomes, contacted them myself and in under a day I had a 33 page PDF file with 12v and 115V wiring diagrams, including all the wiring, power distribution center! ALso all the plumbing diagrams too!
Oh and the wiring diagrams have been a great help as the electric entry steps wont work and cant seem to find the "kill" switch shown on the Kwikee manual hiding in the coach papework. Certainly wasn't where it said it was :(
But hidden in the fleetwood PDF a section on mounting and wiring the steps I finally found the "KILL" switch!!! Not mounted in a cupboard or near the entrance door... instead they actually mounted it on the dashboard!!!!! Happens to be a random switch on the dash we have never known what it was for! No label or symbol anything to say what its purpose was...

I'm glad the information was helpful to you! We get to feel a little less like orphans if we can still get information about these coaches. What a great service from this company!
I'm tracing the horn/courtesy light circuit right now that has a dead short some place. It would be a lot harder to do without a wiring diagram.
By the way, full timing and raising a family is very impressive!
