Class A or Class B?

As the Packard Motor Company slogan went: "Ask the Man Who Owns One". ..in this case the"the Only One" Packard Motor Home 1937 Packard. It was the only one built. The couple standing by it are the owners.
He bought it for $16,000 about 10 months ago. It had been in a garage for Many many years.

He polished and waxed it and put on a clear coat of paint. Did some minor engine work and it started right up.

It has 40,000 miles on the speedometer. He was offered $300,000 but didn't take it.

I truly love those old Packards! When I was a teenager in '52 I had a 36 Packard with dual sidemounts and it actually had a radio and heater. Any savvy young person near a "junk yard" as the were called, could buy a driveable prewar auto for 25 to 50 dollars.

I wonder who was the original owner? Henry Bourne Joy was one of the partners in Packard. One of his camping rigs, car and tt, is in the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village in Dearborn MI. His family has hunting property in Northern Michigan they used to travel to via rail and auto.
