Copperhead snake in my motorhome.
I found some ants today and was spraying for them. In the process I found a snake skin in the compartment under my shower. Since this connects up with the holding tank compartment I took a look inside there and found an at least 2 foot long copperhead. I went out with a friend to see if we could get rid of it and we can't find it now. I think it climbed in from my sewer hose that I keep hooked up. (I think I'm going disconnect it when I'm not using it now)
The thing that has me nervous is that there's places where the snake could get not only into the storage compartment (which we checked) but up under my bed in an enclosed space there(searched that as well but no dice so far) and also possibly under my cabinets where he could actually get into the inside of my coach. I plugged up a hole where the water line comes up behind my toilet but now I'm scared I'm going to run into this monster in the middle of the night while sleeping or the next time I need to dump my tanks.
any advice for making sure it's gone? I'm hoping it ate any mice that I might have missed at least. I really hope we scared it away but I'm not sure I'm that lucky.

To make things worse I had a nightmare this last winter that I woke up to a snake biting my left hand. It was just a dream because there were no marks on my hand at the time but it's certainly not something I want to have happen for real.

Have exterminator tent the coach and fog it. Mouse, snake, bugs etc. will be gone for sure.

This seems to be the solution
I hope I'm not violating a rule by posting a link to another forum...if I am, please forgive me.
Click here: Best way I've found yet to deal with snake problems!!
This is a really, really long forum, but it fascinated me...so here's the condensed version:
Go by a two-piece minnow trap at Wally World (like the one shown in the original post at the link). Snakes are 'edge' crawlers and very curious. They will crawl in through the opening, and once inside will go 'round-n'round trying to find a way out, never once looking in the air for the exit. The OP then opens the trap over a 5 gallon bucket with a lid handy, and either relocates the snakes or puts them in the freezer. Being cold blooded, they go to sleep (dormant) and never wake up. Just be sure you don't remove it from the freezer too soon. Or you can dispatch them in any other way that you see fit.
Depending on the species, if you want to make sure it gets in and doesn't get out, you can use a plastic or ceramic egg, which will not only prevent it from getting out, but will also kill it eventually. This is more of a ratsnake/blacksnake tactic, as poisonous species usually prefer live bait. I suppose you could create a small wire cage of chicken wire and put a small rodent in as bait (the small cage would prevent the bait from escaping and being eaten).
Just passing this on...if I had one in my coach I'd want something besides one-liners (although some of them are funny).
Good luck...let us know if you try it and if it's successful.
