........so far so good.

My coach was really dull and faded, so I did not expect a miracle. I washed, scrubbed with Bar Keepers Friend, rinsed, washed again with TSP, then rinsed 3 more times.

The graphics are cracked, so no change there, but the Zep really brought out a shine that I did not think was possible. On my short coach I used 1/4th of a gallon of Zep.

The pictures really don't capture the shine very well...but is is there. Making a run to Fl, then NOLA, and I'll post up how well it holds up after 10 days on the road. It took one afternoon to prep, and one morning to apply 6-7 coats of Zep.

I thought about picking up HF buffer, but with the cracked graphics I though I'd go the cheapo route this time. The picture of the nose with the reflection of the grass and gravel tells me it was worth the effort. Post up some pic's of your buff job.

The ZEP works great on the Fleetwood sides and in your case the the rear cap. I had to keep after the front cap, the ZEP it just did not like the GEL coat on the caps. Was well worth the time and effort on my 96 Pace Arrow (previous coach).

I use the Zep on my Fiberglas roof and it does a great job with controlling the oxidation and associated white streaks. I use Poli-Glow on the Fiberglas sides of the motor home and I've been very pleased going into the second season.

We did our Honey awhile back, maybe 2-3 years ago? needs more....sure looked great after we did it, although I don't think we put enough coats on. I think we stopped at 4 or 5.

I did my 89 RexAire a couple of years ago with a generic acrylic floor finish. It shined like a diamond and lasted for over a year when we sold it. I used Turtle Wax on the end caps and had to do them again monthly. We now have a 96 RollsAir and it is going to get the treatment soon.

Took me two days to prep and two days to apply Zep, but after three years, still get good comments. The roof is ready for another application.

I was wondering about the adhesion to the smooth front cap. Headed into Luvbug country, so it will be a good test. I am going to take some DEP along with me and maybe even re-apply to the front end to kill some time.

I did my 2004 Winnebago this past summer. PO had not done any outside maintenance since purchase and the oxidization was bad. Used McGuire's Compound to deoxidize and then Zep floor wax.

People at the CG thought the rig was brand new and it sure washes nice now. Shines and beads water off with ease. I had removed any loose decals and left the rest. They look better so I am well pleased with the results. Definitely worth the effort.

Did 4 coats of Zep on sides and will do more on the roof this summer.

Oh, I also did the metal window frames, the painted mirrors, and all other painted parts like the corner rounds & bumper in the rear.

beamisl, mine did not even think about a shine until coat 5...it was really bad

Motor,

It was the 5th coat that made it shine but I had to deoxidize it twice. Lot of work, did it all by hand but worth it. I love the way it looks now.

I like the older models, not interested in all the whistles so this rig was good for me. Was there today working on replacing the TV for a flatscreen and a new radio with Bluetooth (so I do like some of the whistles, not all) and looking forward to camping.

when i get back at it I will. Did some wet sanding with 2000 tonight on the front cap above the windshield. It is alot of work, maybe should have cleared it.
