Hey Guys,
Sorry so long on the update. It took me a long time to completely diagnose my problems. Here's what I found: A solenoid was bad. The alternator was not compatible with such old technology. Also, a small wire from the genny had corroded. Multiple problems with one simple and yet not so fortunate solution: Re-wire. Thanks for the help. You may see more of my posts as I get into the enormous project. Thanks again.

What type of isolators are you going to go with? This really shouldn't be that big a job if you're just replacing that diode type isolator.

You have the alternator figured out now, and charging?
