dodge m500 beach cruiser

Hey all, I have a 1978 Champion Titan 27' on a dodge m500 chassis with the 440/727 drivetrain. I want to make this a beach cruiser, as in , into the sand dunes , no pavement beach cruiser. I live on cape cod and I know many people do this every year with their class a motorhomes, but I am concerned about my wheel /tire setup mostly. I have 8r19.5's all around with duallies on the rear and I am concerned with the width of the front tires (they are only like 6 inches wide) being too narrow and digging into the sand. I know the beach cops make sure you air down your tires to 18 psi to even get on the beach, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to swap out the front wheels for a set that would be better in the sand. I live like 5 minutes from the beach in question, so I would keep the 19.5s i have now for highway trips and use the wider tires/wheels all summer on the beach. Or maybe I should just stick with the wheels I have and stop looking for problems where there may not be any? anybody have any beach boondocking experience??? I would love to hear some wisdom!

You could convert it back a singe wheel set up. Use a wide tire. Does that have standard 8 lug pattern or is it that wide pattern?

its actually a 5 lug pattern believe it or not. and its more the front wheels im concerned with. I know i can convert the duallies to super singles which would be awesome but very cost prohibitive. at least back there the duallies provide a fairly wide footprint and i dont think theyll dig into the sand that bad. up front for steering the 8r19.5 tires are only about 6 inches wide and im afraid of digging in. anyone have any beach rv'ing experience?

Only thing I can offer is user Cakeman2253 over at Classic Winnebagos & Vintage RVs! has a 73 Brave M300 4x4 conversion he did for beach exursions.
Not sure if this link will work or not:
Blue Whale 4x4
