Thanks for the replies guys.
Joseph, I am kind of confused as I thought EPDM is rubber???
I have done so much research on this I think I confused the h@ll out of myself.
I planned on getting the Dicor(Brite-Ply) 30' x 8'6" roll(which is 45mils thick) and the Dicor installation kit which comes with 2 gallons of water based adhesive, 150 feet of butyl tape, and six tubes of lap sealant. The installation kit says it will cover a 40' roof.
I then saw that Weatherbond also has EPDM rolls for RVs that is 60mils thick & I can get it for about the same price.
Wouldn't thicker be better...(where have I heard that before????)?
Anyways...both are made in the USA, which is good, as I hear a lot of EPDM is now coming from China.
I have read a lot of posts by you and Capt.Dan, Lorna, Sanjay, and Fleamarketeer (sorry if I got any names messed up), almost forgot Freebie.....and really value and appreciate the combined knowledge and especially the photos.
When we do tackle the roof(late March or April)Amy will be taking the photos and hopefully it will help others as yours have helped us prepare.
Thanks again!
