Fleetwood PA problems

We have a 1989 fleetwood pacearrow 30 class A rv on a john deer chassis and a 454 ford motor. Propane tank is full but cant get propane to refridgerater to start it,,,it was winterized, and cant get stove to light. What is the problem? Also the electric to generater pump isnt working. How can i get gas into generater?

Welcome to the forum!

Your propane tank may have an electric valve that only allows gas when the propane detector is turned on. Do you have one? Mine is on the wall near the stove about 3 inches above the floor. It is a small slide switch and flashes green when turned on. (powered by your chassis battery)
If it was winterized, did someone turn off the main hand valve on the tank itself?

Your generator should pull gas from the main tank unless you have 2 tanks then it could be either one. Anyway, does the generator attempt to start? Will it turn over but not start or tries to start and then dies?

As stated in the owners manual (http://fleetwoodrv.com/partsandservi...PACE_ARROW.pdf), it may take a while to purge the LP gas lines of air. If the LP gas is ON, you will hear the air hissing from the burner. Can take up to a minute or so to purge out the air in the line. Always get the stove top burners to light first, then work on furnace and water heater.

Generator can be dirty fuel filter, pump not pulling enough vacuum to draw gas from the tank, dirty carburator, or unit electronics. You simply have to work through the symptoms.

Betsy, your local rv dealer, camping world, ebay. just google rv propane detector. first you should check to make sure you do not have a broken wire. happened to me once and did not find it until I was installing the new one.

If you have only one gas tank it must be above 1/4 full to get gas to the generator.

Did u pressure wash near the propane tank lately? You could have gotten water in the valve with the diaphram and spring...That happened to me so I just replaced the valve. Good now.
