It's a scam, what do they hope to gain, if it's free?

Interesting though, the city where I live use to have 2 for ambulances way back when. I think my first ambulance ride was in a Cortez to now an obsolete, torn down hospital. I think one still exists within the city, in the fire department?, as a remote command center. They were an absolute pain to find parts for, a lot of odd ball parts. I also recall that they was a "Cortez" camping club group??.

CortezCoach.com - Cortez Motorhome website.

We used to go camping in a Cortez back a youngster. Trips around Seattle, to BC. My first memories of RVing. That was in the late 60's I think. Love 'em.

The astronaut transport vehicles that NASA used to drive the guys to the launch pad were customised Clark-Cortez rigs. We looked into buying a used one in the late 1970's, but decided against it when we discovered it was a stick-shift transmission. I think it had the Dodge 270 slant 6 motor, also.
