Fresh water tank level reader

I can see there are 3 feeds in and out of the tank - the water fill, the vent (both at the top) and the feed to the pump (at the bottom) but how is the level read? I was expecting a sender feed from the top or on the side near the top but I can't see anything - I have one on the Land Rover fuel tank and it has a live and earth connection but nothing on this. There is no evidence of any wires (cable) in the area either. The level reads green empty and 1/3, 2/3 is orange and full is red and doesn't change whether it is full or empty. Its a pain having to lift the heavy bed to see how full it is and it not even clear then as its more opaque than clear plastic. I'm not sure if this is the original size as it looks like the wooden support has been added and the 3rd support is less rusty and looks newer? Its a 1995 Itasca Passage 25 foot long.

its empty at the minute.

That display says holding tank not fresh, I didn't see ant sensors on the tank in your picture. I can only assume what is displayed is the black or gray tank.

Good Luck

Ok, thanks. So the holding tanks is the waste tank?? - it all goes into 1 I believe. Not sure I need to know how full that is but I emptied it a week ago so whatever this is measuring hasn't changed. What I would really like to know is how much fresh water there is in the tank so I guess that leads onto has anyone added a sender and gauge?

Sender to go on top of tank - its 265mm so should take me to the top of the outlet so perfect. It will also fit under the board supporting the bed as the tank has sunk in the middle.

Gauge which I may put on the side of the bed but if I connect to the water pump feed then it will show the level when the pump is on which is when you'd need it anyway. Also has a backlight for darker times. It will give accurate readings and not just 1/3, 2/3, full/empty so taking much of the guesswork out of it.

Its US spec Ohm readings (European is 190-0) so in keeping. Looks exactly what I need and all for less than £30 (around $35).
