Well this Rv(1981 Winnebago)has been setting along time and the frig, oven, stove, hot water tank, furance hasn't been used.I've like to see where I am with these items but I am afraid to fill the propane tank and find leaks everywhere.
Not that I have seen anything to warrant this. One of the fears is of a major fire due to leaks. So If I fill the tank and it has issues,I wouldn't be able to drive off with it.(and for sure I wouldn't want to in any case.)I am pretty sure the frig is going to need repair or replacement from the smell of it.

So my question is how to I go about setting the Rv up for a test of all of the above?.Do I need to take it to a RV dealer to do this safely. What do I need to do to each item to prepair to see what's working or not?.

Thanks,

Gary

If you're scared of working with the propane system then take it to a qualified person to work on it. Just keep the propane tank valve closed while towing it and you won't have any problems with possible fires since it won't let any propane out of the tank.

Hi again, I don't know what area you live in but find a dealer that works on the older models and get them to do the checks and adjustments. they have the tools and meters and whatever else is needed to get it going. Hope it works out for you and let us know how it goes! Capt.Dan
