I'm betting that was me saw that changed to an external pump' on my rig it wasn't to bad, first rounded up all the empty gas jugs on the place and pumped out all the fuel i could.
second put two floor jacks under it(my tank is eight feet long and 18 inches wide and 12 inches tall ) just because i could not get all the fuel out no where to put it.
third lowered it enough to unhook it and set all the way down and pulled out from under rig.
fourth pulled in tank pump removed fuel pump and put piece of fuel line in place of pump then i bought a bulkhead fitting and 3/8 brake line and drilled a hole in the top of the tank so as not to interfere with the sending unit on the fuel pump.
fifth bent line to just set on bottom of tank witn fitting installed secured bent new line coming out of tank .
you can probably get by with just hooking to the existing line but mine was 5/16 coming out and i wanted 3/8.
i then cleaned and painted my tank something else you can probably skip but mine was in dire need of some help
sixth put it on one floor jack using a 2/6 to spread the weight on the surface of the tank jacked it up hooked it up using new hoses and bolted it back in place.
seventh mounted new low pressure high volume pump to frame make sure to buy the isolator kit wired with factory wiring plumbed with new hoses and checked for leaks.
rig idles better and if this pump ever fails 10 minute job to replace hope this helps if you have any other questions i will try to help
