GC-8 Battery

So, I go into my local COSTCO today to look at Golf Cart batteries. The rack has two signs. One is labeled "GC-8". The other says "GC-2". The rack is filled with GC-8s. The area for GC-2 batteries is empty.

According to my research, GC-8 batteries are 8 volts. Can this battery be used in an RV for a coach battery set-up? I'm thinking not. But if so, how?

So then, on another front, I read somewhere that two 12 volt Group 27 Marine/RV partial deep cycle batteries wired so as to provide 12 volts was a way to go that was pretty good. Any feedback?

There is no practical way to use a GC-8 in a motor home.. you would need a GC-4 to team it with and that... they basically do not make.
