GMC Motorhomes

I have been driving past this lot for YEARS, with these two old GMCs just sitting there, wasting away. It makes me sad to see them. Sorry for the crummy cell phone pic; I was at a stop sign and had to be quick. The guy also has an old "Breaking Bad" Bounder sitting behind that building.

What a waste. Make a inquiry at the lots office as to who owns them.

That is some sort of roofing/construction company, so I assume the owner of the business owns them. When I say they have been in those exact same spots for YEARS...I mean like at least 10 years or more. The blue/white one has been jacked up and has a window broken.

Oh, I'm not interested in owning one; I don't have any talent as far as refurbishing. I just thought some might be interested to see the pic. It's always sad to see an old RV just left to deteriorate.

They are on the east side outskirts of Houston.

Yep pretty sad, That's what I said before I bought mine. She had been sitting for 6 years. The rest is history, going on 3-4 years. She looks so happy too go and preforms well for 32.

Those GMCs in 1975 gave DW and I the itch...could we ever afford that lifestyle; I seem to remember a $32.5K price tag. Took 38 years to finally get there

It's really pretty amazing the number of RVs just parked and left to decompose. I didn't notice them much before we owned one, but now it seems I see them everywhere.

Anytime an object costs more to maintain than it is worth... they start to sit and end up sinking into the Earth.

One of the most things you can do to a motorhome is NOT use it! There are other reasonably priced GMC units on the market that would make better restoration candidates than those two. Sadly, those two will probably never get back on the road (under their own power!).

At the park we host at (Elm Brook Park in Hopkinton NH) A young man came in driving one of these about 2 years ago-looked nice and the motor was quiet. It is a day park with no over night camping due to the fact it is also part of flood control and the water may rise at any time.
