At this moment in time our RV search has come to a screeching stop The wife and I have decided not to buy until we can have a BIG down payment or just pay in cash So that being said not sure if we will have a RV by Aug 2017 but Glen Elder does have 2 cabins and we would probably just rent one of those. They are located in the same campground we would just get some extra walking in so we are able to take in the fun with others Cabins you are able to reserve a year in advance so I need to be proactive and be sure I'm on te ball if we decide on Glen Elder.

Spoke with Lisa in office this morning. Many of the sites here are reserved long term.. In Kaw campground, only 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 are able to be reserved at this time. Some ifs because park manager has moved to another job and with new park manager some things could change. Lisa said Kanza campground has probably 23 thru 66 site numbers available. She said first date to reserve for 2017 is 3rd Friday of December. She knows of our plans and said if we have the list of our wants to her around the first of December, along with a Reserve America account from someone, that the area manager has said they they will try and accommodate us. That would mean the reserve america account person would have to pay all of the camping fees for all of the group I think. Or maybe if everyone had a reserve america account we could just supply her with our individual accounts and make it work that way. Sounding doable to me.

Like Terry, we are agreeable with what the masses want.
Ron,

Good Morning,

I looked at Mark Twain Forest. Same set-up as Glen Elder, no full hook-ups but I think even more rustic. They did have a CG with trails for motorcycles though (dirt bikes I think mostly). Then checked out some Branson CG's. They have a motorcycle tour.

Does anyone have a preference that I keep away from? Like the costs of the state parks but are you all OK with partial hook-ups? KOA, private CG's, or something else?

Will check out a few and post then we can choose. Lynne

Lynne,
If everyone decides on Branson, Americas Best Campground has a great rally setup, along with the use of the meeting room. Michele is the rally person. I am not promoting that we go there, but that was where we had our rally this spring.

Morning,

Tim, just looking at other options. Ron went to Glen Elder and the sites look great! He said the showers are not adjustable and just thought I would look at other spots. The plan as now is still Glen Elder unless something else comes up and everyone agrees on a change.

Good morning Everyone;
Janet and I are good with close to the rest of the group and 50 amp power. We have previous commitments and can stretch our tanks for the time we are able to be there.

Is there a better place - probably, but I would not go overboard with effort to find it. Important part is simply to get together. For that Glen Elder is good if we can be together.

Hello All,

The info on the timeframe is on this thread if you loose it again. Just have to go to the first couple pages for it.

I have sent enquiries out to two places for info. Will put it together when it gets here and keep looking. Some of these places I will visit in the future whatever we decide. Frank I enquired at your suggestion. Looks like a nice place.

There are so many beautiful parks and CG's out there. Does anyone have a special thing they want. I know we need some good motorcycling roads, kayak lakes, and bike riding areas. Anything else anyone wants? Please let me know. Almost forgot, doggy run also.

Lynne
